We’re excited to introduce an industry-leading Price Index for all suppliers on PartsTrader. This enhancement is designed to provide suppliers with more accurate insights into the competitive dynamics of their market.
What’s Changing:
- On March 31, PartsTrader will replace the existing alternative price from the estimate with a data-driven price index.
Key Benefits:
- Accurate Market Intelligence: Leverages real marketplace data to determine if there is competition on a given part and what it can be purchased for.
- Real-Time: Uses real-time information specific to the repairer’s location.
- Increase Sales: Helps you increase sales by showing when there is no/low competition.
- Secure: Cannot be overridden by repairers or third-party programs.
- Trusted & Fair: Unlike the information from the repairers’ estimates, the Price Index prevents an individual supplier’s pricing from being shared with competitors.
How it Works
- The “Price Index” will replace the “From Estimate” price and will only display when a repairer has written an alternative part on the estimate.
- The Price Index will only display a price when multiple alternative options can be found in the local marketplace, which are allowed based on the carrier’s part policy.
- The Price Index displays $1 when competition exists but there is insufficient data to construct an index based on the repairer’s location.
- The Price Index doesn’t display if no alternative options are found.
